I did say something about us getting into the recording studio in the fall didn't I? Well, I'm full of shit. Call it wishful thinking, but I didn't even get done writing the new album until a few weeks ago. I did however turn the demos over to Libor, who is undoubtably creating devious rhythms to contradict all my hard work.

Actually, one of the things that is slowing us down a bit is really positive. Libor opened his own drum school. Axiom. It has taken a lot of his time and for good reason; it's awesome. We'll be recording the drums for our next album there.

On the topic of recording I don't think I've yet mentioned the leaps and bounds we've made as far as equipment is concerned since our debut. In one word it's HUGE. Recording the demos for the new album I can tell you that we've got it going on sound wise. Blue Microphones, I'll say right now that I'm open to endorsement deals as long as it includes a visit to Latvia.

Okay that's about it for now. When we actuallly start working in the studio this time I'm going to be adamant about posting pictures and keeping you guys updated. I love it when I see pictures and notes about other bands in the studio. Shit just to take it to the Fucking Champs level I might even give you the low down on every preamp and mic. Sorry Tim, no modded U87s here, I know where to draw the line.

Peace,

Jeff

A self-release turns into my own label. Heraclitus Records. Our S/T can be purchased there.

We don't talk as much as we should do we? A shame.

The big news is that we've decided to self-release our first CD and function as our own record label for the time being. I'm expecting discs to be available at amazon.com by the end of August. In the meantime, you can pre-order via paypal or you can always download tracks at our myspace page too if you can't wait.

Remember that band I was producing and Libor was playing with? Contortionist.

Congratulations goes out to The Metal Observer for being the only people to know who Heraclitus was and also to get the Dante reference.

Still working on new material. Will be in the studio this fall.

Rock on - Jeff
